The Kona Coffee Belt starts in North Kona mauka of the Kona Airport and ends in South Kona mauka of Milolii. It's about 30 miles long and only about one mile wide at elevations ranging from about 525 feet to 2,600 feet along the cool and fertile western slopes of the volcanoes Mauna Loa and Hualalai. The Kona Coffee Belt provides unique lava soil, sunny mornings and rainy evenings for optimal growing conditions. These optimum conditions are also conducive to growing macadamia nuts, avocado, mangoes and many other fruits and vegetables as well.
